Are you talented, enthusiastic and committed to personalising children’s experiences of learning in school?

Leodis Academies Trust is a successful Multi Academy Trust with five schools in the South Leeds area. Due to the recent promotion of the Deputy to Principal, we are looking for a Deputy Principal at Hill Top Primary Academy, who will also have responsibility for leading our Early Years Foundation Stage. In return we offer an engaging role within a friendly, happy and caring school situated in the heart of our local community, and a highly competitive salary of £50,151 - £55,338 per annum.

Hill Top is a purpose built primary academy for children between the ages of 3 and 11. We nurture and celebrate children’s dreams and aspirations and we passionately believe that each day is special for our children; each day is the opportunity to grow and develop in our learning; to build knowledge, resilience, tolerance and to develop our interest in the world around us.

At Leodis Academies Trust we pride ourselves on our collaborative approach to working together. We look for individuals who can contribute to this and make a difference to the academies that form our Trust. In return for joining us as our Deputy Principal we can offer:

• Access to an expanding range of lifestyle benefits including Simply Health cash plan, free flu vaccinations and a cycle to work scheme
• Access to an Employee Assistance Programme providing confidential support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Free parking on site
• A wide range of possibilities to develop as a professional, with access to job related learning and development opportunities across the Trust

As the Deputy Principal, you will be instrumental in supporting the Principal at Hill Top Primary Academy and contributing to the wider Leodis improvement agenda, holding ambition for further senior leadership and headship opportunities. As the EYFS lead, you will have an exciting opportunity to use your skills and knowledge to develop the EYFS provisions at Hill Top, including implementation of the revised framework. Building on existing excellence, this role provides a rewarding prospect of leading and influencing the EYFS provision. In return, we are committed to providing you with first class professional development opportunities to support you in this role.

What we’re looking for in our Deputy Principal:

You will have a clear philosophy of primary education and understanding of how children learn. You will be able to demonstrate successful management experience, as well as knowledge of current educational practice and issues in EYFS. Demonstrating consistently high standards of principled and professional conduct, you will hold the skills, knowledge and experience to work collaboratively with the Principal to ensure the Academy provides an environment in which all staff and pupils can fulfil their potential. Showing an ability to work in partnership with senior leaders across the Trust, and those responsible for governance, you will also be committed to creating and maintaining effective partnerships with parents and the community.

If you would like to discuss the role further please contact the Principal of Hill Top Primary Academy, Joanne Lancaster on 0113 307 4750.
