An internal opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Safeguarding Lead at Louth Academy.
We are looking for a hard-working and committed individual to play a key role in supporting the Designated Safeguarding Lead at Louth Academy in all aspects of safeguarding. This is an exciting opportunity to join our experienced safeguarding team to ensure the Academy fulfils all of its statutory duties in relation to the Safeguarding of Children. This is a non-teaching role and will require the postholder to have a secure understanding and compliance to Safeguarding and Child Protection policies across the Academy.
The role will require the candidate to work extensively on CPOMS to ensure accurate records are maintained. As Deputy Safeguarding Lead there will be a requirement to co-ordinate the work we carry out with external agencies to support our students and families. There is also a requirement to complete administration and attend/lead Team around the Child (TAC) meetings and attend Child in Need (CiN) meetings on behalf of the Academy.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. As part of this process, all successful applicants are required to apply for an enhanced DBS disclosure. Other checks including social media will be carried out in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education legislation.
