Who we’re looking for

Star Academies is searching for a collaborative leader who can join us on the next phase of our development. This post will involve significant MAT wide leadership opportunities and provides opportunities to work across the country in both Primary and Secondary schools.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced middle or senior leader and SENDCo to assist with the development of high-quality SEND provision across our diverse multi academy trust. The successful post-holder will work with SEND policies, developing standard operating procedures and overseeing outstanding support for children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities.

The successful applicant will be a passionate and enthusiastic professional who is seeking to experience the additional responsibilities and challenges of a senior role across a group of schools.​​​​​​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​You will have:

  • Degree qualification with Qualified Teacher Status and SENDCo qualification.
  • Substantial experience as a SENDCo.
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring colleagues.
  • Up to date knowledge in SEND, including national policy, pedagogy, curriculum, assessment, behaviour management strategies, inspection findings and statutory requirements.
  • In depth knowledge of assessment options which enable better understanding of the needs of children and young people.​​​​​​​
