Deputy SENDCO job summary
We are looking to appoint a proactive, organised and committed individual to join our well-established SEND team. The Deputy SEN CO will be expected to work closely with the SEN CO/Head of Resource Provisions and to take an active interest in the wider aspects of Learning Support and Inclusion within the school, helping to remove barriers to learning where they exist and to ensure students are supported in becoming emotionally healthy, resilient individuals, who are able to achieve their academic potential.
The successful applicant will be a positive, flexible and motivated individual with personal drive. You will have a calm, organised nature, with the ability to work professionally to strict deadlines, responding effectively and efficiently to challenges. You will be able to communicate confidently and effectively, in varied situations. You will have the ability to work both as part of a team and independently, maintaining a positive and successful working relationship with colleagues.
This working hours for this position are 37 hours per week (8am-4pm Monday - Thursday, 8am-3.30pm Friday) 38 weeks per year (term-time only).
