What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an experienced teacher wishing to further develop their career in departmental leadership and has a passion for teaching Science and enabling the progression of our students. This is a new and exciting role for the Academy and we are looking for an individual who will make a significant contribution to our large and experienced team. Candidates must be able to teach across the ability and age range, supporting Science to the highest standards for all pupils at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
We are looking for someone who can:
- inspire, motivate and influence staff and students, taking a leading role in maintaining the highest standards within the Academy.
- demonstrate excellent teaching and classroom management skills.
- has a commitment to developing curriculum activities within Science.
- be a committed team player with a shared focus on teaching, learning and curriculum development.

Budmouth Academy is a large 11-18 academy in a beautiful part of the country and is a member of the Aspirations Academies Trust. We are looking for an exceptional and highly experienced individual to play an important role in our unique school. Science is a large, successful faculty within the school, and operates in 14 purpose built laboratories teaching all sciences to KS5. A Level Chemistry, Biology and Physics are all very popular options. There are 16 teachers in the department that are passionate to raise achievement and work together to provide the best teaching and learning opportunities. We have a recent track record of sending students to both medical school and Oxbridge universities.
