What skills and experience we're looking for

Our Technology department operates a three-year key stage 3 curriculum, covering the disciplines of Food & Nutrition and Design & Technology. The GCSE options currently offered are: Food Preparation & Nutrition, Design & Technology and Engineering Studies. As the Academy expands, the department is looking for an individual who combines excellent teaching with energy and innovation, and who can offer both inspirational classroom experiences and extra-curricular opportunities for our students.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Academy, where putting students first is a fundamental part of our culture. We strongly believe that positive outcomes for our students come from the professionalism, commitment and passion for excellence displayed by our staff.

You will need to be either an outstanding classroom practitioner already, or an ECT that can demonstrate the potential to become outstanding quickly, with a commitment to continuous professional development.

You will also need to have good behaviour management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students in order to raise standards and maximise their potential.
