Design and Technology Technician job summary

Required from July 2022

This is an exciting opportunity for a technician to join our excellent high performing, fully collaborative DT team. Your role will be to support and provide technical assistance for practical lessons, ensuring that resources and equipment are suitably maintained and fit for purpose. You will support the learning and teaching, working closely with staff and pupils. You will also be contributing a strong culture and family-orientated ethos in the school, in line with our values of discipline, hard work, honesty, and humility. We pride ourselves in being a centre for learning for staff and children alike, developing all staff to bring about the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

The ideal candidate will love encouraging, motivating and inspiring young people through the support they give, have workshop skills including CAD/CAM and be familiar with standard workshop techniques and equipment. For suitable candidates with less experience of these skills, suitable training and development will be given in supporting and upskilling.
