Design and Technology Technician job summary
Design & Technology Technician
16 hours per week. Term time plus INSET days
Working hours: Flexible, to be worked over 3 or 4 days.
Pay Range: Essex Local Government Scale 4, Points 7-8
Actual Salary: £9,485 - £9,636
We are looking to appoint a Design & Technology technician to work in our technology department, ensuring teachers and students have all the resources required for lessons.
This role will involve operating, maintaining and servicing hand tools, power tools and equipment and therefore the ideal candidate will have experience of working within a workshop or the construction/ engineering industry. A good understanding of health & safety is also desirable.
As the sole provider of practical support, the successful individual will need to be flexible in their approach to their work, be able work well using their own initiative and have good organisational skills.
