We are looking for someone with experience, enthusiasm, ambition talent and to join our middle leadership team to support the leadership of the faculty and lead Art as a subject area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Art specialist to lead the Department and to teach students of all abilities at Key Stage 3,4 and 5. Our students follow the AQA fine Art specification at both GCSE and A level. We also follow AQA GCSE and A level Textile Design.

The successful candidate will have experience of subject middle leadership, or be an aspiring middle leader and with a strong track record of delivering improvement. They will also be a confident leader of staff and able to inspire a love of Art in students of all ages to ensure Art is regularly showcased to all stakeholders. Art is part of the Design faculty and support with the leadership of whole faculty therefore responsibilities such as Literacy and FOYF. These responsibilities will be agreed with the successful candidate.

We need someone with enthusiasm, a ‘can do’ mentality, an ability to inspire others and translate a vision into reality. We will expect you to lead the subject area of Art and oversee the curriculum, including planning & assessment, standards and outcome as well as key aspects of teaching and learning.
