What we are looking for

  • Adaptability, resilience and being able to think on your feet are essential in this varied role
  • Experience in a workshop or similar environment, ideally within an education setting.
  • Strong practical skills in areas such as carpentry, metalwork, electronics, or CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing).
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to working in a school workshop environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
  • A proactive and organised individual with good problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to develop new skills and adapt to new technologies.
  • You should be patient and calm, with a consistent and positive approach to managing student behaviour, and understand how students learn
  • You should be a flexible team player with an interest in developing further professionally
