Design & Technology - Subject Lead job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced teacher to lead a vital subject area, shaping the creative and technical skills of our students while driving innovation and excellence in teaching and learning. As the Subject Lead for Design and Technology, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an engaging and ambitious curriculum that sparks curiosity and creativity in pupils. You will lead a skilled and committed team of teachers and technicians, fostering a collaborative environment that supports professional growth and promotes high standards of teaching and learning.

In this role, you will inspire students to explore a broad range of disciplines within Design and Technology, from product design and engineering to food technology and textiles. You will ensure that lessons are underpinned by a strong understanding of real-world applications, preparing students for the demands of higher education and careers in STEM related fields.

You will have the opportunity to oversee the development of innovative projects, leveraging state-of-the-art facilities and resources, including modern workshops, CAD/CAM technologies, and digital design tools. Your leadership will empower students to develop their problem-solving, critical thinking, and practical skills, enabling them to thrive in an ever evolving world.
