Design & Technology Teacher job summary
It is an exciting time at Becket Keys Church of England School (Outstanding, 2014). We are working hard to build upon the exam successes of our founding cohorts, whilst also establishing our 6th Form into its sixth year. With achievement levels in the school at an all-time high and more of our students choosing STEM related A levels than ever, we are looking to strengthen our DT department in all areas to continue our success into the future.
We are seeking a suitably qualified colleague to join our team. It is envisaged that the person appointed will be extremely enthusiastic about Design and Technology and enjoy teaching the subject to all levels and abilities. We are looking for teachers who are excited at the prospect of working in a highly skilled department to learn from our capable team. This position would suit an Early Career Teacher, but experienced staff are also welcome to apply. There are no positions of responsibility available at the moment, but for the right teacher we would consider opening an opportunity in the near future.
This post is a vital appointment in terms of maintaining the very high standards we have set for our school and seeing students from across the ability range excel in this fantastic subject. Every day, students are taught engaging and inspiring lessons and we are looking for someone to join our passionate and committed team. We offer a warm and supportive staffroom culture and students who are highly committed to their learning and proud of their school.
If you think that you possess the qualities and passion we need for this vital role, please contact us to discuss further.
The appointee will be committed to our high expectations and core values – we welcome applications from teachers irrespective of their faith or belief. However, we ask for applicants to appreciate and respect the beliefs of others and have strong moral principles.
Commitment to safeguarding
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need a full DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, which can be applied for once a job offer is made.
