Join Our Team as an Experienced and Enthusiastic Designated Safeguarding Lead and Attendance Support

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Attendance Support to join our passionate team. You will work closely with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team to implement effective safeguarding and child protection policies, procedures, and guidance across our school. You will also work closely with the Attendance Leader, to support families over come barriers for attendance.

This is a vital role within our school community, and we're looking for someone with the dedication, skills, and compassion to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils and families.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leading on all aspects of safeguarding and child protection, ensuring that the school remains fully compliant with statutory guidance.
  • Coordinating and responding to child protection concerns, including:
    • Managing referrals to external agencies
    • Writing safeguarding reports and attending multi-agency meetings
    • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Working with families to promote positive relationships and strong parental
    engagement.
  • Organising and supporting family support classes and community-based initiatives, in line with the school’s values and strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to the development of attendance policies and strategies.
  • Assist in tracking and analysing attendance data to inform targeted support.
