Designated Safeguarding Lead and SENDCO job summary

Layton Primary School is looking to recruit an individual who is ready to take up the SENDCO and DSL position within a busy, outstanding three-form-entry primary school. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to lead, learn, challenge, teach, plan and empower others alongside a large group of supportive staff as a key member of the Senior Leadership team.

The successful appointee will need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record of high quality teaching with a diverse mix of children, alongside the experience of managing staff towards improved outcomes. A clear notion of how to improve yourself and others is a key element of the role, together with working with a variety of external agencies and stakeholders to ensure improved outcomes including those with SEND.
