About the Job:
The Headmaster and Governors at Trinity Catholic High School are seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher who will be the Designated Safeguarding Lead and KS4 Pastoral Lead at Trinity. As Assistant Headteacher, the role has wide-ranging responsibilities to ensure that all school policies, procedures and practices are consistently implemented. In particular, those relating to health and safety, inclusion and equal opportunity of staff, student and visitors to our school. As Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) you will take lead responsibility for all safeguarding and child protection matters that will promote the welfare of children across the school. As part of this, you will provide advice, support, guidance and training to colleagues on matters relating to child protection or safeguarding. The DSL will take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings and contribute to the assessment of children. The DSL will also liaise with relevant agencies such as the EWASS, the CAF Coordinator, local authority and police. As KS4 Pastoral Lead, you will be responsible to lead and develop the work of the KS4 Pastoral Team holding self and colleagues accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes. We require an inspirational, energetic and ambitious Assistant Headteacher, with proven leadership and management skills to effectively to lead pastoral provision at KS4 within our school.
