Designated Safeguarding Lead job summary

Pool Hayes Academy are looking to appoint an experienced and professional Designated Safeguarding Lead, with a real drive to enhance students’ experience of secondary education. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the consistent application of the safeguarding and child protection policy and procedures in line with all requirements in Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children (latest versions).
The department is part of a well led, dynamic team, whose colleagues all enjoy supporting the Academy and its culture of outstanding success amongst our students. The appointed candidate will oversee all policy and procedure implementation in relation to the safeguarding, protection and welfare of the pupils in this academy and lead and develop staff knowledge, awareness and practice by offering updates, advice, feedback and guidance.
To succeed, you will have previous experience working as a DSL or DDSL, experience of working in education or social services and have relevant and evidenced experience in safeguarding. You will join an academy which is dynamic and inspiring, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students.
