Developing Local Provision - SEND Hub Lead job summary

Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive academically and personally? Would you like to be a leader across two friendly organisations that are committed to working towards the very best outcomes for all learners within their culturally diverse and economically disadvantaged catchment areas?

Aston Manor Academy and Saint John Wall Catholic School are currently offering a unique and exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader to be at the forefront of a new project providing rapid intervention for secondary school pupils working below age related expectations. The successful candidate will be based in our newly created learning hubs at Aston Manor Academy and Saint John Wall Catholic School, but will provide a service to all the North West Network secondary schools. The successful candidate will join our two teams of energetic and passionate staff in devising, delivering and monitoring a bespoke curriculum for SEND learners in each hub, with pupils from within our schools and across the North-West Birmingham network of schools. The successful candidate will lead a two-year project across the two schools, reaching small cohorts of pupils who need high-quality literacy intervention that will enable them to access the mainstream KS3 curriculums on return to their home schools. With relevant teaching experience and qualifications, along with a proven track record of securing excellent progress and relationships with SEND learners, we are seeking to appoint an energetic and dedicated leader who is able to motivate and develop young people, lead and co-ordinate projects, work with teachers, leaders, pupils and parents across different schools and deliver relevant and professional CPD and support packages to facilitate mainstream reintegration.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a passion for inclusion and a desire to ensure that all pupils have the tools they need to succeed in society, to refine and broaden their leadership skills in a role underpinned by their evidence-based impact on individual pupil outcomes.
