What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Device Support Technician to join our IT team, Thinking Technology.Based at Brixham College, you will provide customer focused support for Information Technology (IT) with a particular focus on end-user client devices and software applications to help customers make the most of the technologies on offer within the Trust.The successful candidate will support the implementation of software solutions and applications for the benefit of teaching & learning and administration, using the agreed tools and processes whilst maintaining an asset register.What you will need to succeed:For a full list of responsibilities please see the attached Job Description
- Strong customer service skills with a solution focused approach to your work
- Possess excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
- To be pro-active, work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a willingness and flexibility to work across the department and have the ability to balance their workload.
- Adopt a systematic approach towards identifying and solving problems
- Experience of dealing with Microsoft operating systems, and a good knowledge of IT packages and peripherals.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Established in 2018, Thinking Technology is the provider of IT services within The Thinking Schools Academy Trust and is responsible for the design, procurement, implementation, and service delivery to all academies within the Trust.
Thinking Technology manages the Trust’s wide area network, referred to as the “Trust Single Network (TSN)” which supports approximately 20,000 users through the management of a range of technologies including over 2100 Aruba infrastructure devices, and 15000 client devices across the Trust's South East, South and South West regions.
