Director of Education job summary

We hope this is an exciting proposition for a passionate leader committed to making a difference.

This role will be operational as well as strategic, working with colleagues in our schools to ensure our vision is delivered. You will identify where the issues are and how the schools may be best supported. Being able to build and maintain relationships is essential, particularly given the robust discussions that at times are needed. The role will also involve analysing data, comparing groups, identifying where the vulnerabilities lie and determining how to address those vulnerabilities; therefore, an understanding of data is essential.

Our DOE will lead the School Improvement Team in securing improved outcomes for all of our pupils, but particularly our most vulnerable, whilst ensuring that the MAT’s vision and values are upheld, especially regarding ensuring pupils receive an education that delivers ‘life in its fullness’.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.

Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.

Offers of employment may be subject to the following checks (where relevant):
childcare disqualification
