Director of Education – Gatehouse Green Learning Trust Are you an experienced educational leader who has a passion for school improvement and providing high quality education across all age ranges?

We have an exciting opportunity to join our senior team at GGLT in the newly created role of Director of Education. The person we seek will possess inspiration, diplomacy and creativity, and will lead our staff to improve the quality of education for all our children and young people. Our ambition is to establish the Trust as a leading provider of school support and curriculum development and this new dedicated role will create the foundations for achieving this ambition through the creation of an innovative school improvement and development strategy.

As our Director of Education, you will be an exceptional and inspiring leader with a successful track record in leading school improvement. You will need to share our ambitions and have the acumen and energy to deliver the Trust’s vision and strategy for the highest quality of Education whilst embedding a culture of continuous self-improvement and system leadership that delivers excellence across the curriculum.

This is an exciting, if challenging, time to be joining our Trust and we are looking for someone who can bring a creative, inspirational, and motivational approach to establishing this new role.

This is a part-time permanent post and will report directly the Trust CEO. You will be joining a strong team of highly skilled and experienced leaders and a supportive board of Trustees. Success in the role will be demonstrated by your ability to nurture strong and effective relationships with our school leaders, and establish a trajectory of improvement and achievement across all our schools.

We would love to hear from you if you have:
• A deep commitment to the education, safeguarding and well-being of children and young people;
• Experience of working as part of a Senior Leadership Team – within a Trust or local authority;
• Successful experience of providing school improvement challenge and support to other schools in both Primary and Secondary settings;
• Proven ability to generate and deliver collective vision and shared purpose, including building teams, managing change and delivering results;
• Created innovative educational strategies that have delivered tangible results;
• Excellent communication skills;
• A collaborative approach

Being part of the professional learning community at Gatehouse Green Learning Trust will provide the post holder with outstanding opportunities to progress and contribute to the continuing development of both the school and the trust. GGLT comprises Ashton Park School, the outstanding rated Redland Green School and three south Bristol primaries. Your contract of employment is directly with Gatehouse Green Learning Trust (“the Trust”). You may be deployed to work at any school within the Trust and carry out those duties that may be reasonably required in relation to such deployment.
