About the Role: Director of Education

The Director of Education is a key senior leader within Tenacitas Trust and provides educational leadership across all trust schools. The role ensures that every school delivers high quality teaching, strong behaviour and culture, effective safeguarding and a curriculum rooted in the trust’s standards and values.

The Director of Education leads headteachers, school improvement, oversees the trust’s educational quality assurance framework, delivers trust wide CPD, and ensures that trust frameworks are enacted with clarity and consistency. The role leads teacher development and professional learning, ensures strong safeguarding and SEND provision, and oversees leadership development, coaching models and teacher training partnerships.

This is a high influence role for a leader who brings strategic judgement, calm authority, educational depth, disciplined communication and the ability to build capacity across multiple schools. It is a role for someone who can work in partnership with the CEO, take decisive responsibility for educational standards, and contribute significantly to the next phase of trust development.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an outstanding educational leader with the credibility and expertise to lead improvement across multiple schools. The successful candidate will bring:

  • Significant senior leadership experience at headteacher, executive headteacher or equivalent level.
  • A strong track record of raising standards, improving culture and securing strong behaviour.
  • Deep knowledge of curriculum, teaching, assessment, inclusion and safeguarding.
  • The ability to hold leaders to account with clarity, fairness and professional discipline.
  • Emotional steadiness, political neutrality and a calm, values led approach.
  • The ability to lead trust wide CPD, teacher development, ITT partnerships and ECT induction.
  • The capacity to quality assure multiple schools using consistent frameworks and evidence.
  • Strong communication skills, professional integrity and the ability to work closely with the CEO.
  • Warmth, professionalism and the ability to build positive relationships across the trust.

This is a role for someone who is ambitious for children, serious about standards and confident in leading with both clarity and care.
