You will lead and coordinate health and safety across the Trust, manage our building projects and contractor relationships, and act as our key estates expert and advisor.

You will also shape our environmental sustainability strategy and oversee compliance in areas such as fire safety, statutory testing, and building condition. This post is vital to the delivery of the Trust’s strategic vision and our core values of Inclusivity, Collaboration, Respect, Trust and Community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic and operational delivery of the Trust’s Estates & Facilities Strategy.
  • Ensure all academies are compliant with statutory health and safety, fire safety, and premises regulations.
  • Lead all Trust capital and maintenance projects, including CIF bids and long-term condition plans.
  • Oversee health & safety risk management and reporting across all Trust sites.
  • Support and guide academy-based premises teams, building their capacity and consistency.
  • Act as the Trust’s lead for policy development on estates, risk, security, and emergency response.
  • Develop sustainability and energy efficiency programmes across the estate.
  • Ensure robust contract and contractor management across facilities-related functions.
  • Report regularly to the Executive Team, Estates Working Group, and Board Committees.
Who We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a strategic estates professional who is:

  • Experienced in managing multi-site facilities or capital projects in education or public sector settings.
  • Knowledgeable in statutory compliance including H&S legislation, fire safety, and building regulations.
  • A confident leader with the ability to influence, challenge and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Skilled in risk assessment, contract management, and project planning.
  • Committed to health and safety, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence.
  • Capable of using estates systems and tools (e.g. Every) to drive data-led decision making.
  • Flexible, proactive, and committed to delivering for the communities we serve.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of a growing Trust’s infrastructure and play a key role in creating safe, modern, and inspiring spaces for young people to thrive.
