Connect Education Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Director of Finance to join the central team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing and highly successful Trust. Connect is forward thinking, dynamic and determined to make a difference, and is seeking a like-minded individual who can support and lead the finances of the Trust. The Director of Finance will be responsible for the finance support functions of the organisation. A recognised accounting qualification is essential, and the ideal candidate will have substantial finance experience in a complex organisation. The Trust is at a point of expansion, and we are looking for the right person to be responsible for our schools and ensure sustainable growth.

As the Director of Finance, you will hold a senior position working under the Head of Service - Finance, taking responsibility for financial procedures and controls within the Trust and assuming responsibility for the finance function in times of absence. You will be accountable for ensuring that sound and appropriate financial governance and risk management arrangements are in place, prepare and monitor budgets and ensure the delivery of annual accounts in accordance with the Academy Trust Handbook and all statutory requirements.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team based at our central office at Chesterfield Primary School and will have the opportunity to work with each of our schools providing school support services. Travel to all our schools will be required.

We are the Connect Education Trust, a partnership of successful schools in North London. We firmly believe that we are better together and the collective experience of our people and our individual communities allows us to achieve far more than we ever could alone. Connect schools offer exceptional education to our pupils. A place where pupils and our people enjoy coming to school and where their full potential is realised.

The wellbeing of our staff is of paramount importance. We promote a healthy work-life balance. We provide staff with wellbeing days, and an attendance reward scheme, as well as giving all employees access to a support hub. Connect provides opportunities to ensure that we value hard work and dedication to create remarkable futures for all pupils.

With easy access into central London, our school is ideal for candidates wanting to live in either inner or outer London. In line with recent legislation, applicants must have a command of spoken English that is sufficient to effectively carry out duties of the role.

About Conn ECT Education Trust

Type
Multi-academy trust

The Connect Education Trust (CET) is a group of schools based in North London who share a common purpose to make a difference to the lives of young people and believe that this happens when there is effective collaboration between schools and other partners.

We have a motto across our Trust ‘'be included, be connected' which describes our ethos and vision. We believe that we must strive to remove any barriers to learning so that every young person regardless of their start in life can be successful, happy and leave us equipped for the next stage in their life.

All the schools in the trust share common aims and values and draw upon the best practice from local, national and global research. We recognise that our schools serve their own communities and are unique but we insist that our schools follow the ELT way of working to ensure high expectations and equality of opportunity for all our pupils.

We pride ourselves on growing our own staff teams who have the opportunity to work in exciting, well-organised and vibrant environments. We offer high quality support and training to ensure career progression for all staff. Leaders and teachers are helped to develop through our positive teaching school relationships. Staff are encouraged to collaborate with staff in their own school but across the trust and beyond. Through this collaboration we improve our practice and everyone moves forward together.

If you are interested in visiting any of our schools please contact the school directly. You will receive a very warm welcome.

If you are interested in joining our Trust please email us at contactus@eltpartnership.org
