What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to recruit an exceptional Director of Inclusion and SEND to provide leadership and management for the provision of pupils with SEND, promoting and implementing the school’s SEND and Inclusion Policy in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice.

The successful candidate will also play an important role in leading the SEND team to ensure the academic and pastoral needs of all SEND students are met. As part of this role you will oversee our ASC Base. This is a provision which supports x12 students, who are fully integrated into our mainstream school alongside their peers. There is a Base Manager, whom you will line manage. These students are offered additional resources, intervention and at times different spaces to work as needed, in order to help them to succeed in our school.

This post is about inclusion and how we ensure we meet these challenges (SEND; mental health; vulnerability; neurodiversity) creatively. You will lead on Inclusion and SEND across the school, you will lead the team to work towards our whole school vision of ensuring opportunity and success for every child.

As an Assistant Principal you will contribute to the successful strategic leadership of the Academy and will be accountable, as a member of the senior leadership team, for inspiring, managing and leading staff and students to achieve their very best. Alongside these attributes, candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively enthuse and lead others and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing continuing professional development relevant to their position.
