An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and innovative Director of Inclusion to join our team at Pendle Education Trust based at Colne Primet Academy. The role provides an excellent career opportunity for a driven and ambitious leader. Colne Primet Academy is a growing school, with increasing numbers on roll due to the school’s success, leading to the creation of this position and we are keen to appoint the right person for the next stages of our academy’s improvement journey and commitment to inclusive education.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) the successful candidate will have a key rolein the raising of standards and securing excellent provision for students with SEND. You will lead the SEND team, including line management of the other SENDCO and SEND teachers, and the teaching assistant team.

Colne Primet Academy became part of the Pendle Education Trust family in 2013 and has experienced transformational change across all areas since then. Former Principal Lynne Blomley has now moved into an Executive Principal for Secondary Education role with the Trust, and the Academy is led by Julia Pilkington. The school was named Secondary School of the Year at the 2021 East Lancashire Education Awards.
