Chipping Campden School is a mixed comprehensive, 11-19 converter academy, with an enviable reputation, located in the beautiful Cotswolds. The Team
You will be joining a well established, talented and dedicated team of professionals. The department comprises nine specialist Teachers, each able to offer two languages or more, the majority of whom teach at KS3, KS4 and KS5 levels. At KS3, students study two languages from French, German and Spanish, with many going on to select one of these at GCSE. In addition, we are in the fortunate position to have three part-time language assistants and an MFL learning mentor.

Our teachers are specialists in their subject areas and are supported by a senior leadership team, which consists of the Principal, two Vice Principals and five Assistant Principals (including SENDco). Each faculty area has a Director of Learning and Associate Heads of Faculty for English, Mathematics and Science.

What we are looking for
As part of the school’s extended leadership team, you will be an innovative leader and strategic thinker with proven leadership expertise. You will have the desire to drive and deliver developments through your leadership and management of a team. As part of the school’s Extended Leadership Team and as Head of Faculty you will shape, develop, organise and promote the efficiency and success of the Modern Foreign Languages Faculty. Aspiring to progress within the next five years, you will have a thorough understanding of delivering exceptional learning and teaching in an 11-19 mixed comprehensive school.

We deliver a vibrant comprehensive curriculum which is broad and balanced and continues to produce outcomes well in excess of the national norms at GCSE (sig+) and post-16 (sig+). We are continually developing and improving our facilities. During recent years, the school has enjoyed major improvements to its fabric - the most recent of which has been an extended state of the art sixth form, an additional science centre, new inclusion centre and further classrooms. We have extensive playing fields and recreation areas and a full size floodlit artificial grass hockey and football pitch. Further development of our school site is currently being undertaken with the exciting addition of a new performing arts theatre. Most of our classrooms are equipped with Apple Interactive TV’s and Wi-Fi with the vast majority of resources available through our virtual learning platform. In order to support the use of technology to enhance learning in the classroom, teachers are issued with an iPad and the vast majority of our students participate in our community one to one iPad scheme.
