The Academy is divided into four Colleges: Brunel, Chaucer, Darwin and Da Vinci - each has their own personality and range of specialisms, allowing them to be unique.

Working with Leigh Academies Trust: As of September 2019, our Trust is comprised of 25 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 13 primaries and 1 special) educating over 15,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff. We also have three further academies in development phase, due to open between September 2020-2021. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the region’s biggest initial teaching training providers and a large teaching school.

About the role: Are you an experienced middle leader, seeking to grow into a broader leadership role across multiple subject specialisms? The Leigh Academy has a rare and unique opportunity to appoint an inspirational and outstanding practitioner to lead our Business and IT faculty from September 2020. This role is ideal for those seeking to inspire students at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and also inspire our team of dedicated, talented and experienced staff. We can offer a supportive and professional environment to be a part of and fully embed yourself into from day one, the opportunity to work under strong and dynamic leadership team whose aim is to achieve excellence for all, and a team of talented science staff at all stages of their career, covering the specialisms associated with this role. Ideally, our successful candidate will take on a Business/IT teaching timetable within their role based on their experience.
