Director of Mathematics job summary

We are currently seeking to appoint an imaginative, creative and proactive leader in this role to take our Mathematics faculty to the next stage of its development. It is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher and leader to join us on our incredible journey at Dame Elizabeth Cadbury School. Pupil behaviour, attitudes to learning and the quality of teaching and learning are very good. Our Mathematics faculty is fantastically well resourced and will continue to go from strength to strength.

Applicants will be able to lead the faculty and teach Mathematics as a preferred specialism across all key stages up to A level. Applications are welcome from experienced leaders and well-qualified ambitious teachers with leadership skills looking to take their next step in professional development.

We are looking for someone who:

- A talented teacher who has the passion to lead a Mathematics team. Could it be you? You must be able to demonstrate:
- A proven track record of raising attainment through their teaching and learning, making a positive impact within and beyond their own classroom.
- In depth subject knowledge of subject specialism
- A passion to make a difference in pupils’ lives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate, inspire, lead and support pupils and colleagues.
- A commitment to school improvement.
- An ability to inspire and lead a team.
- Has a proven track record of raising attainment through their teaching and learning, making a positive impact within and beyond their own classroom.
- Understanding of both GCSE and A-Level structure is essential.
