The Governors of Maghull High School seek to appoint an ambitious, resilient, experienced and excellent teacher as Director of Mathematics, who will make a significant contribution to the senior leadership team and to the future development and improvement of our school and Trust.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced group of senior and middle leaders across curriculum and assessment, pastoral support, personal development and teaching and learning. This role represents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and ambitious individual to develop as a senior leader.
As Director of Mathematics you will be responsible for leading the department to the next stage of excellence and ensuring our students, families and staff know they are in a school that focuses on improving the life chances of all students. Your lead on school improvement will focus on standards, performance and support of disadvantaged students, extended learning opportunities and skills driven opportunities.
Working alongside the Senior and Extended Leadership group you will support the wider life of the school and have opportunities to access in-house and external CPD.
You will be a role model to staff, who will look to you for outstanding line management, support and challenge. We recognise that as a member of the wider leadership team, you will also need support and challenge yourself so that you can grow to be the best you can be and we will commit to making this happen.
