If appointed, you will lead on a key aspect of the school’s curriculum, working with an enthusiastic team of committed teachers who strive to provide the best education and extra-curricular opportunities for students.

The successful applicant will be a talented, influential and passionate leader with exceptional subject knowledge and expertise, who demonstrates the skills required to influence and develop others, and shape the teaching, learning and curriculum in Mathematics at Weatherhead High School and (in future) across the Peninsula Multi Academy Trust.

To join our team you must:

  • inspire a love of Mathematics amongst all students.

  • be committed to ensuring students make their very best progress, through ensuring teaching that inspires our learners to succeed across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
  • be prepared to support, challenge and engage students by enriching their learning experience and maximising their potential.
  • have the ability to unlock the potential in teachers, by challenging them to be the best and modelling the most effective teaching in Mathematics.

  • be prepared to take on whole school leadership responsibilities outside the Mathematics department.

This is an exciting post, created to help fulfil leaders’ and trustees’ ambition to deliver excellence in Mathematics and promote a love of learning and excellent outcomes for all students. The post will suit an ambitious current middle leader seeking a professional challenge and high levels of job satisfaction.
