Director of Mathematics - September 2020 start (or earlier if possible) job summary
We are seeking to appoint an ambitious Director of Mathematics to line manage our successful and rapidly improving Mathematics Department and to continue the upward trend in achievement.
You must have the ability to lead others, yet be able to work within a team. You must be able to inspire and motivate others. You must also have the ability to use your initiative, make decisions and be accountable. Most importantly you must be able to lead by example in the classroom.

You will join the Senior Leadership Team as an Assistant Head or Deputy Head with an attractive salary.

Walsall Academy in Bloxwich, Walsall opened in September 2003. The student enrolment is 1390 with 1060 in the lower school and a further 330 students in the Sixth Form. The School is one of a number of City Academies established in England prior to the expansion of the Academies Programme in 2010 and was originally sponsored by The Mercers’ Company of the City of London and Thomas Telford School.
We are a founder school in the Thomas Telford Multi Academy Trust.
