Academies are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic, and highly motivated
Director of Maths or Curriculum Leader Maths.
The successful candidate will be based at Waterhead Academy and as the Director of Maths, will work across our three secondary academies to drive a
collaborative approach to curriculum development that will further improve the
learning and teaching experience for all our students. These roles will involve working across the secondary phase, sharing best practice and establishing consistency and
quality in aspects of the curriculum intent and implementation for the benefit
of each academy.

We have three secondary academies in our trust.

Moor End (Huddersfield) www.moorend.org
Park Lane (Halifax) www.parklane.org.uk
All are within 30 minutes drive of each other and Trust office in Elland.
We have developed a secondary strategy led by our Executive Principal, Kash Rafiq based on a shared culture, vision and pedagogy. The strategy brings a wealth of opportunities to students and staff in all academies. Leaders at all levels work together to realise the benefits of collaboration including sharing resources resulting in reduced workload and enhanced CPD opportunities. The collaboration provides increased opportunities for students to access high quality teaching and enrichment activities.
We are looking for someone with the following qualities:
has a strong knowledge of Maths pedagogy, curriculum at all key stages. To have a proven track-record in raising attainment and improving progress can review and develop a well sequenced, innovative and intelligently designed curriculum and resources in Maths, ensuring that highly effective approaches to teaching and assessment are explicit within this planning and modelled to colleagues. To be committed to your own professional development and be highly skilled in delivering effective PD and conducting meaningful QA. has had demonstrable success in achieving strong progress with students in Maths, including those with SEND needs or are Disadvantaged. Has excellent, well-developed interpersonal skills and the importance of being able to work collaboratively across a range of schools.
