Bolton St Catherine’s Academy is seeking an exceptional and inspiring Director of Modern Languages and EAL to lead our MFL department and help take it to the next level. This is a rare opportunity to shape and develop language learning in a school that is ambitious, improving rapidly, and committed to excellence with a supportive SLT led by a linguist headteacher.
We are a 3-16 all age fully inclusive Academy. Our school is on an exciting journey, and we are incredibly proud of the culture we are building here. Main Duties:
Lead and develop the MFL department, ensuring exemplary teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will be someone who:
We are looking for a passionate, committed, and skilled language specialist who:
· Is an excellent teacher of Spanish, with some knowledge of French.
· Has experience leading or developing an MFL department, increasing options uptake and securing outcomes.
· Has high expectations for students and a track record of improving outcomes.
· Is committed to ensuring every pupil, regardless of background, has access to a world-class education.
· Brings energy, creativity, and a vision for the future of language learning at BSCA.
· Model and drive the values and vision of the school.
