Are you an experienced and dynamic leader ready to drive excellence across multiple primary academies? We are seeking to internally appoint a passionate Director of Primary Education to play a key strategic role in raising educational standards and improving outcomes across our primary schools.
About the Role
As Director of Primary Education, you will be the lead executive for primary education across the Trust, working closely with Headteachers and Academy Improvement Leads to ensure outstanding teaching, learning, and leadership. You will be responsible for implementing robust improvement strategies, ensuring high-quality education, and securing strong outcomes in areas such as achievement, attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding.
You will also play a pivotal role in curriculum development, staff professional development, and school-to-school collaboration, helping to create a culture of aspiration, inclusion, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage primary education across the Trust, ensuring high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Support and develop Headteachers and senior leaders to achieve measurable school improvement.
- Oversee the implementation of Trust-wide policies on curriculum, assessment, and behaviour.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and innovation.
- Ensure effective safeguarding, finance, and operational leadership across primary academies.
- Monitor and evaluate performance, reporting to the Trust Executive and governing bodies.
About You
We are looking for an outstanding and inspirational leader with:
✅ Proven experience as a Headteacher or executive leader in education with a track record of school improvement.
✅ Extensive knowledge of curriculum design and school leadership.
✅ Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding, and national education policies.
✅ Ability to manage budgets, people, and resources effectively.
✅ Experience in coaching, mentoring, and leading change within a multi-academy trust.
