What skills and experience we're looking for
Duke’s Secondary School have an exciting opportunity to appoint an inspirational leader to this new role:
We want to hear from talented middle leaders looking to extend their experience, and outstanding, ambitious teachers seeking their first leadership post.
Through close coordination with feeder primary schools you will strategically lead and manage the transition of all pupils, but especially those with specific needs to Duke’s Secondary School.
As an experienced teacher you will have a deep understanding of KS2 and KS3 curriculums to be able to make impactful decisions for the right provision for specific students. You will develop an impactful transition strategy which will ensure students starting the school in year 7 have the best possible opportunity to be successful.
Through liaising with feeder primary schools and secondary staff you will lead on supporting students who require a tailored transition to secondary.
The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and motivational skills. It is essential that the post holder actively supports the vision and ethos of the Northumberland Church of England Academy Trust.
