Trust in Learning Academies (TiLA) is seeking a Director of Professional Learning and Development to join the Trust central team from Term 5 onwards. This is a 0.6 role, with the hours able to be worked flexibly to meet the needs of the schools and Trust.

You will strategically lead the Trust’s Learning and Development Strategy, and establish a Trust-wide offer for professional development based on evidence-informed approaches to learning and development. You’ll have a key role for all staff, ensuring induction is highly effective, that the ITTECT framework is well delivered, that professional development reviews make impact, leadership qualifications are accessible, exciting progression pathways are developed clearly and well understood across the organisation, and a weekly Trust CPLD offer is in place.

As such an important person in our school development team, you will also be needed to work with education professionals to support school improvement across a wider sphere, for example by carrying out school-commissioned reviews.

This Director role requires strategic thinking, high integrity, ambition, decisiveness and precision. You will be a qualified teacher experienced as a Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher or with other significant experience in school senior leadership. You may come from a primary or secondary background, and you will be prepared to work across our Trust of eight schools (primary, all-through and secondary) as part of the School Development Team. If you see yourself working in a central role, are an ambitious thinker and strategist, can write well, but also roll up your sleeves to help out where needed, want to work in a values-led Trust, and of course meet the person spec, we warmly welcome your application!

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities, in particular those who are currently under-represented within our staff team. This includes, but is not limited to, people who speak one or more community languages, people from minority ethnic groups and people who identify as disabled. We are committed to taking steps to increase the diversity of our employees and removing any barriers to opportunities and success.
