What skills and experience we're looking for

At All Saints there is a strong mandate from Governors and the Headteacher for improvement within the science department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced science Subject Leader or Curriculum Leader to join our passionate Leadership Team in driving forwards change.

The school wishes to appoint a talented Director of Science to lead this key area of the curriculum, further developing high quality teaching and learning that inspires students from Y7-Y13.

The successful candidate should be able to drive curriculum development from a clear vision, through collaborative planning, to achieve high outcomes and positive engagement. Experience in working on relevant projects, leading staff, mentoring, quality assurance and CPD should position the right candidate to lead this large department in the next phase of its growth.

Applicants should be excellent classroom practitioners who explore innovative ways of delivering their subject. They should be able to teach across the age and ability range, including in their specialism at Post 16. Applied Science is also offered for Y12 to Y13 students.

We are committed to fairness and social justice and welcome applications from everyone. We value and celebrate our diverse workforce. Under the Disability Confident Scheme, disabled applicants, who meet the essential criteria of this job, are guaranteed an interview.

If you would like to express your interest in applying or would like to discuss the role further please contact Mrs C Siddall, Deputy Headteacher by email to c.siddall@allsaints.sheffield.sch.uk or by calling the school on 0114 2724851.
