Background and Experience

  • Teaching at KS3 and KS4 (Essential)
  • Qualified teacher with at least four years’ experience (Essential)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (Essential)
  • Evidence of work with colleagues in schools (Essential)
  • Experience of leading a team of teachers on the curriculum initiative (Essential)
  • Experience of budget management (Essential)
  • Experience of leading training to improve the quality of teaching and learning (Essential)
  • Experience of working alongside other teachers in the development and learning (Essential)
  • Experience of setting targets and monitoring, evaluating and recording progress (Essential)
  • An outstanding classroom practitioner (Essential)
  • Excellent understanding of current, relevant issues and national developments in SEN (Essential)
  • Excellent skills in the use of data to evaluate effectiveness and quality of provision and to secure accountability (Essential)
  • Leading and developing SEN team (Desirable)
  • Evidence of working as a SENDCo (Desirable)
  • Safeguarding qualification at level 3 or above (Desirable)
  • Leading teams in schools (Desirable)
