What skills and experience we're looking for
Background and Experience
- Teaching at KS3 and KS4 (Essential)
- Qualified teacher with at least four years’ experience (Essential)
- Evidence of continuing professional development (Essential)
- Evidence of work with colleagues in schools (Essential)
- Experience of leading a team of teachers on the curriculum initiative (Essential)
- Experience of budget management (Essential)
- Experience of leading training to improve the quality of teaching and learning (Essential)
- Experience of working alongside other teachers in the development and learning (Essential)
- Experience of setting targets and monitoring, evaluating and recording progress (Essential)
- An outstanding classroom practitioner (Essential)
- Excellent understanding of current, relevant issues and national developments in SEN (Essential)
- Excellent skills in the use of data to evaluate effectiveness and quality of provision and to secure accountability (Essential)
- Leading and developing SEN team (Desirable)
- Evidence of working as a SENDCo (Desirable)
- Safeguarding qualification at level 3 or above (Desirable)
- Leading teams in schools (Desirable)
