Director of Sixth Form - Harrogate Grammar job summary
Following an internal promotion of the current postholder to Headteacher, Red Kite Learning Trust is seeking to recruit a talented, committed and inspiring teacher and leader to the role of Director of Sixth Form at Harrogate Grammar School.
Harrogate Grammar School is an ambitious, high-achieving, 11-18 mixed comprehensive academy with the full ability range of students. We have a large Sixth Form with over 580 students and have an impressive track record in providing all students with the highest quality of experience and in teaching for success in numerous Advanced Level subjects. The Sixth Form has consistently achieved excellent results with 61% of grades at A*-B in 2018, making Harrogate Grammar School one of the highest achieving comprehensive schools in the country and top performing comprehensive Sixth Forms in North Yorkshire.
Working with a dedicated and motivated Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Sixth Form will provide effective and inspiring leadership for a committed Sixth Form Team. The post holder will contribute to the strategic direction of the Sixth Form, whilst promoting the Sixth Form as a truly holistic educational experience and holding overall responsibility for the maintenance of high academic standards.
