Required for a January 2020 start (negotiable)
The School offers 20 Advanced Level courses and has an enviable record of examination success. The successful candidate will lead a team which includes 19 Form Tutors, the Year 12 and Year 13 Progress Leaders and the Sixth Form Pastoral Tutor. He/she should have significant leadership experience and a track record of impressive organizational and interpersonal skills. He/she should possess the ability to motivate, challenge and inspire staff and students, combining personal integrity with high expectations of self and others.
Applicants must hold a genuine belief in maximizing the potential of all students and a commitment to promoting high expectations and achievements within the School. In addition, he/she should possess a sound grasp of current educational issues and demonstrate a commitment to developing and maintaining the ethos of a Selective School. Westcliff High School for Boys is a Selective Academy Grammar School which has been designated Outstanding by OFSTED and is listed in the top 50 State Schools in the country. Our School currently has 900 boys at 11-16 and 390 students in its mixed Sixth Form.
