Director of Trust Improvement and Development (0.4 FTE, Fixed Term) job summary
Rainham Mark Education Trust are seeking to recruit on a fixed term (one year) and flexible contract, a part time (0.4 FTE) Director of Trust Improvement and Development. This is an exciting and challenging role to support the Trust in its next steps of development. The Trust is currently made up of three schools, two primary (Riverside Primary School and Twydall Primary School) and one secondary (Rainham Mark Grammar School). The person appointed to this role will need to be able to demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of both phases of education. They will be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and understanding of current sector issues with a particular focus on leadership of high-quality inclusive education. The Trust are looking to appoint an evidence-based practitioner who is committed to research informed practice and can demonstrate impact in their past roles in systems leadership.
Main Purpose:
- Deliver the vision and strategic plan of the Trust, as agreed with the Trustees and CEO;
- Development of the Trust’s improvement and development, associated plans and framework; in coordination with the CEO and any future school improvement team;
- Take strategic responsibility for Trust wide areas as allocated by the CEO to deliver on the core mission of high quality inclusive education.
- Delivery and coordination of improvements and development for identified Trust priorities;
- Developing and delivering quality assurance systems across the Trust’s schools;
- Reporting to the Trust Board on the quality of education and the impact of school improvement and development activity.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong record of educational leadership;
- Evidence of Primary and Secondary phase experience;
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of SEND;
- Experience of writing, implementing and reviewing successful improvement plans and strategies.
