EPAT is a cross-phase ‘Starter Trust’, providing high quality educational provision, standards and outcomes in local schools. It was formed on 1st February 2017, through a collaborative partnership between The Eastwood Academy (a secondary converter academy) and Bournemouth Park Primary School (a maintained primary school).

The Eastwood Academy's ethos - ‘Believe, Succeed, Together’- is an uncompromising belief that all pupils can and will succeed in a learning environment which supports and values everyone and their achievements.

Locally, the Eastwood Academy is the highest performing non-selective school and regularly outperforms the selective schools. Nationally, in terms of pupil progress, the Academy has been in the top 10% of schools over the last 3 years.

The Eastwood Academy was subject to a section 5 Ofsted inspection in December 2018 and achieved an ‘outstanding’ judgement in all categories.

Bournemouth Park Academy is a rapidly improving non-selective primary school in Southend. In 2016, it was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and was ranked in the top 100 most improved primary schools in the country.
