Design & Technology Technician (DT Technician) Band 5 SCP 12 - £22,183 pro rata (£18,771.31 per annum) Hours: 37 hours – 08:00-16:00 Monday to Friday (including INSET) Term Time Only This is an exciting time for a Design & Technology Technician to join St Joseph’s Catholic Academy in Hebburn as the school continues its journey providing a good education to all pupils. The role of Design & Technology Technician is a permanent role and plays a pivotal role in providing a high standard of learning experiences across DT subjects including Woodwork, Design, Engineering and Cookery. Supporting both pupils and staff members, you will be responsible for assisting current staff with the development of lessons and work plans, as well as ensuring timely and accurate design, preparation and use of specialist equipment and resources. Due to the nature of the role, practical knowledge and certification of all health and safety procedures relevant to the subjects supported is vital. St Joseph’s Catholic Academy safeguards and protects its students and staff by being committed to respond in accordance with South Tyneside Child Protection Procedures. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
