DT Technician job summary

As a DT Technician, you will support students during practical lessons and prepare equipment and other resources as required, demonstrate safe and correct use of tools and other equipment where necessary, maintain workshops, machines and hand tools monitoring and maintaining stock levels. You will be responsible for maintaining the good order and organisation of the workshop rooms and their storage facilities, carry out first line servicing of machines and equipment in DT, Graphics & Art to ensure safety and reliability. This will include cleaning, oiling, sharpening, removing dust and minor repairs

About You

The successful candidate will have experience of working in an Academy / Academy environment or a background working within a workshop. Candidates will also be educated to GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at level 2, and will be able to deal with variable work situations, analyse situations and plan appropriate interventions to achieve desired outcomes while working to tight deadlines.
