Permanent Position

30 hours per week, term-time only

Salary Grade 8: £24,313 - £26,999 pro rata, per annum
Actual Annual Gross Salary: £16,638 - £18,476

The Cherwell School is a high performing and oversubscribed comprehensive school in Oxford, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. The school has approximately 1990 students on roll, including 620 in the Sixth Form.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic EAL Coordinator to support bilingual (and multi-lingual) students across the school. The successful candidate will be working with both staff and students in various subject areas supporting the integration of beginner bilingual students, assisting with administrative tasks, monitoring the achievement of more advanced learners of English as an additional language and liaising with families and communities. We are looking for an organised individual who enjoys working with young people, has a flexible and positive approach and is able to work as part of a team.
