Hours: 32¼ hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days
Monday: 8.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m. Tuesday – Friday: 8.30 a.m. – 3.10 p.m.

We are looking to appoint an ambitious, inclusive and determined HLTA who has experience of working with children who have English as an additional language to ensure the vulnerable children are not disadvantaged and achieve well. We are particularly keen to hear from someone who holds HLTA status and/or a recognised teaching English as a foreign language qualification or equivalent.
We are looking for an individual who:
• Has recent experience of working in a school setting
• Can use their knowledge and specialist skills to assess the English levels of students and plan specific support for students learning English as an additional language
• Is an excellent practitioner with a very high expectations of what can be achieved
• Has a good understanding of child development and learning processes to support and drive the development of our students’ love of learning and aspiration
• Has the ability to work constructively as part of a team and commit to the school’s ethos, aims and school environment with a positive, flexible can-do attitude
• Has the ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situations – verbal and written and can use ICT effectively to support learning
