EARLY CAREER TEACHER (ECT)
1 Year Temporary contract from September 2022 (Pending needs of the trust)
Main Pay Scale + SEN allowance, Full Time
The Governors are seeking to appoint a high-quality, committed, creative, enthusiastic and flexible ECT class teacher. The position available is based at Aegir- A Specialist Academy which caters for pupils aged 11-19. You would work in classes to teach pupils with a wide range of additional needs to enable all pupils and students to flourish.
Staff are based at an individual school however they are contracted to work for the Academy Trust therefore may be required to work at either Warren Wood or Aegir Academy should the need arise.
We are looking for someone to join our team who:
o is an outstanding, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join a dynamic team committed to enhancing the learning and progress of all pupils/students in their care;
o has an ability to articulate and share a vision of SEN education with all stakeholders;
o has knowledge of what constitutes quality in educational provision, the characteristics of effective schools and strategies for promoting progress, raising standards and the achievement of all learners;
o has experience of working with pupils/students with SEND and has a secure understanding of the requirements of the Primary and/or Secondary Curriculum & SEND;
o has the ability to liaise, plan and deliver a multi-sensory curriculum alongside other members of the staff team.
o has passed their ITT course and holds Qualified Teacher Status

We welcome applications where the candidate has experience from either specialist or mainstream settings in primary or secondary with an interest in SEND. Within your application, please outline your areas of strength and/or interest in SEN education.
