Early Childhood Educator job summary

The Directors of St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Academy Trust are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring, and highly motivated Early Childhood Educator Level 3 (Achievement Support Officer) to work as part of the team at Endsleigh Holy Child VC Academy, supporting teaching and learning with a particular focus on supporting vulnerable pupils including those with SEND across our Early Years provision.

This post is term time only, 36.25 hours per week.

Fixed term until 31st July 2032- linked to pupil funding.

This role and hours would therefore encompass breakfast club support for our Early Years pupils.

The successful candidate will work across our early years provision, giving appropriate targeted support for pupils with a range of SEND needs. You will support the children’s social, emotional and physical development, designing provision and experiences to enhance pupils learning and provide supervision and care of children at various times of the day.

We are looking to appoint someone who:

  • can establish productive working relationships with children, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
  • Is confident establishing relationships with families and being a supportive presence in their lives
  • is kind, caring, energetic and enthusiastic
  • encourages pupils to interact with others and engage all children in learning activities led by the teacher
  • has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoys working within a supportive team
  • is well organised, flexible and creative
  • is willing to participate fully in ensuring inclusion of all children.
  • uses their initiative to ensure the best possible support for pupils and families is keen to continue to develop professionally
