What skills and experience we're looking for
Skills, aptitude, knowledge and experience
•Ability to work independently using own initiative.
•Ability to relate well to children and adults including other professionals/carers/parents
•Ability to demonstrate and promote good practice in line with the ethos of the school both indoors and out doors.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks, whilst ensuring children, colleagues, parents and carers are respected and listened to.
•Fluent English speaker
•Effectively communicate with adults and children
•Good written, verbal and non verbal communication

Summerhill’s Little Treasures opened in July 2008 and we are registered with Ofsted to care for babies from 6 weeks old.
We have four nursery rooms within the setting, Orange Room, which accommodates babies from 6 weeks old up to 2 years old. Green Room, which accommodates 2-year-old funded children on a sessional basis. Purple Room accommodates 2 years olds who access a flexible range of sessions, and finally, Yellow Room. Yellow Room is our pre-school provision which offers 15 – 30 hour provision plus a wrap around service.
We also provide a wraparound service for Summerhill Primary
Academy pupils.
Summerhill’s Little Treasures is situated in a purpose-built building, and offers a quality childcare and educational experience, graded Outstanding in February 2023.
The setting is open Monday to
Friday 8.00am – 18.00pm, excluding bank holiday and 2 weeks at Christmas. We also offer an early bird session from 7.30am daily.
