Early Years Class Teacher job summary

We have a vacancy for a full time Nursery/Reception class teacher due to the relocation of the current post holder. The successful candidate will join our happy and hardworking team from September 2020 (a later start would be considered for the right candidate)

In our profession we are lucky enough to have teachers who are gifted; who just know how to inspire children; who have that special something that is hard to put into words; whose classroom is a play filled wonderland that the children never want to leave. If you are that gifted teacher, we would like to hear from you!

This post would suit teachers looking to broaden their MPS experience in another school hence the tight timescales to allow for 31st May resignation.

We can offer you the opportunity of working in a school that is situated in a small town in the heart of Nidderdale, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are federated with Fountains Earth, Lofthouse, allowing the opportunity to share good practice with other colleagues. There will be opportunities for career development within our federation and beyond for those looking to develop their leadership skills.

We are committed to the safety and welfare of our children and the appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS, proof of qualifications and two references that will be taken up before the interview.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 26th May 12 noon. Interviews will be held on Friday 29th May.

We want our school to be the right move for you but sadly we are unable to offer visits at this time. A virtual tour of the early years classroom and outdoor area can be requested from Mr Tom Finch, Senior Teacher tfinch@st-cuthberts.n-yorks.sch.uk. Any questions about the post or an informal chat can be arranged via the email above prior to application.

Completed applications to be emailed to Lynette Brammah, headteacher@st-cuthberts.n-yorks.sch.uk
